About the position
The Lending Services Business System Manager at First Horizon Bank is responsible for managing the workflow system and ensuring seamless operations within the lending process. This role involves acting as a secondary credit bureau reporting contact, overseeing business requirements, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance system functionality and efficiency. The BSM plays a critical role in defining solutions for production issues, managing system access, and driving initiatives that align with business objectives while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily functions of the lending workflow system.
- Oversee business requirements, defects, communications, system access, user-acceptance testing, and production certification.
- Define solutions for production problems, conversions, and regulatory changes.
- Consult with business unit managers to deliver agreed-upon business objectives.
- Analyze and translate business objectives into system requirements with the Technology BA.
- Design and document business processes to improve efficiency.
- Manage system SLAs, Disaster Recovery, and Business Continuity.
- Serve as the primary subject matter expert contact for the system.
- Research and analyze the root cause of system issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or related experience.
- 5 or more years of system implementation and/or operations experience.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and customer service skills.
- Experience in loan processing and operations.
Nice-to-haves
- Project Management or Business Analyst experience beneficial.
- Ability to influence business partners without formal reporting relationships.
