About the position

The Software Integration Engineer (SIE) Level II will develop software tools and services in a PaaS Linux environment, supporting an on-prem cloud offering with open source software. The role emphasizes expertise in a containerized landlord/tenant environment and aims to enhance the efficiency of software production within a DevOps culture.

Responsibilities

• Develop software tools and services in a PaaS Linux environment.
• Support the development of tools and services that increase software production efficiency.
• Integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software.
• Generate documentation for the full software stack.
• Update software for sustainment support.
• Execute test codes for characterization of software performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with at least six (6) years of experience in software integration, or five (5) years of directly related work experience that can substitute for a degree and six (6) years of experience.
• Basic Linux system administration skills and shell scripting.
• Ability to integrate, install, configure, upgrade, compile, and support COTS/GOTS software.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using Helm to deploy Kubernetes applications.
• Experience using GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles and applications.
