About the position

Galliant Care is seeking passionate and driven individuals to join their team as Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). This role involves providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with Autism in both clinic and home settings. The RBTs will implement behavior intervention plans, support neurodiversity, collect data on client behavior, and assist in developing individualized treatment goals. Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior intervention plans as outlined by the supervising BCBA.
  • Support acceptance of neurodiversity and provide assent-based care.
  • Collect accurate and reliable data on client behavior during therapy sessions.
  • Provide one-on-one behavior therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Assist in the development of individualized treatment goals and behavior plans.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers, and families regarding client progress and concerns.
  • Display empathy and compassion for all clients, families, and members of the Galliant team.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Maintain documentation of client progress and objective session notes in accordance with Galliant policies.
  • Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and workplace data collection, storage, transportation, and documentation requirements.
  • Respond appropriately to feedback and maintain or improve performance accordingly.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with all stakeholders.
  • Implement behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate with other professionals involved in the client's care, such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, and teachers.
  • Act as a mentor to BTs, RBT 1s, 2s, and 3s.
  • Expected to take on more complex and higher behavior clients.
  • Conduct interview shadowing for candidates at your clinic.
  • Support staff within the pod with specific skills, observe and identify areas of need for staff in pod and provide info to BCBA.
  • Observe and identify areas of need for clients in pod and provide info to BCBA.
  • Be a second prompter for programs.
  • Create any material required by clients as instructed by BCBAs.
  • Be willing/able to be a float RBT and jump in quickly with any client.
  • Lead Circle Time when assigned.
  • Train new hires as instructed by the Training & Development Specialist.
  • Responsible for promotion of team spirit/culture within their pod.

Requirements

  • RBT Certification
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Driver's License
  • Experience with children
  • First Aid Certification
  • Strong communication skills
  • Teaching skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in ABA therapy
  • Background in special education
  • Knowledge of developmental disabilities
