TCI is seeking a Level 5 Oracle Database Administrator to join our team in Melbourne, FL. This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity, meaning that while you will initially be contracted, there is potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing Oracle databases, ensuring their performance, security, and availability. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle database systems, as well as troubleshooting and resolving database issues as they arise. In this role, you will work closely with application developers to optimize database performance and ensure that the database architecture supports the needs of the applications. You will also be involved in backup and recovery processes, implementing security measures to protect sensitive data, and performing regular database health checks. The position requires a strong understanding of database design principles and the ability to write complex SQL queries. As a Level 5 DBA, you will be expected to mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices for database management. You will also participate in capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure that the database environment can handle current and future workloads. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive approach to database administration and a commitment to maintaining high levels of service availability.
