About the position

As a Bartender at LevelOne Restaurant and Bar within the DoubleTree by Hilton Neenah, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to take orders, prepare, and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as light meals, ensuring that all service is conducted courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications. You will be expected to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including the stock and supplies, while adhering to the highest standards of food and beverage safety and quality as outlined by the hotel, Shaner Hotel Group, and franchise specifications. In this role, you will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all daily operational procedures set forth by the Food and Beverage Department. This includes maintaining safe working conditions and following established standards and procedures. You will need to effectively communicate with the General Manager, other Department Managers, Supervisors, and staff to ensure smooth operations and address any guest-related issues that may arise. Flexibility in your schedule is essential, as you will be required to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of our guests and the business. Your ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals will be vital in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Additionally, you will be expected to handle other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the restaurant and bar operations.

Responsibilities

  • Take orders, prepare, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and light meals to guests courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications.
  • Maintain stock/supplies and cleanliness of the outlet and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department.
  • Maintain food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.
  • Respond to and handle guest-related issues pertaining to the department.
  • Ensure communication with the General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors, and Staff.
  • Abide by standards and procedures for operations and safe working conditions in the department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in the Restaurant / Food and Beverage field.
  • Minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • ServSafe and/or food safety training a plus.
  • Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).
  • Familiarity with food and beverage cost controls.
  • Ability to accurately compute basic mathematical calculations.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.
