About the position

HF Sinclair is seeking a Level Operator responsible for directing and assisting in the production and manufacturing of products, ensuring quality control, maintaining raw material inventories, and adhering to safety and environmental policies. This role involves overseeing various operational tasks, including loading and unloading materials, conducting quality tests, and maintaining equipment, while also acting as a resource for less experienced personnel.

Responsibilities

• Direct and assist in the production and manufacturing of products.
• Conduct visual tank gauging to verify automatic systems.
• Perform basic quality control testing of products.
• Ensure general plant cleaning is performed satisfactorily.
• Oversee maintenance tasks and light mechanical duties.
• Manage the opening and closing of valves for production.
• Oversee truck and railcar loading and unloading.
• Ensure safety in elevated-height work areas.
• Prepare necessary paperwork involving intermediate math skills.
• Identify hazards and familiarize with products and chemicals being handled.
• Complete paperwork for maintenance events and task responsibilities.
• Maintain EH&S qualifications and assist in training and SOP revisions.
• Act as a resource and lead for less experienced personnel.

Requirements

• Minimum of zero to ten years of relevant work experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations.
• Basic computer skills and mechanical inclination.
• Understanding of Federal, State, Local, and Company regulations.
• Completed required certifications and training for job level.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Intermediate reading and writing skills.
