About the position

At Northrop Grumman, our employees have incredible opportunities to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world today, and for generations to come. Our pioneering and inventive spirit has enabled us to be at the forefront of many technological advancements in our nation's history - from the first flight across the Atlantic Ocean, to stealth bombers, to landing on the moon. We look for people who have bold new ideas, courage, and a pioneering spirit to join forces to invent the future, and have fun along the way. Our culture thrives on intellectual curiosity, cognitive diversity, and bringing your whole self to work — and we have an insatiable drive to do what others think is impossible. Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. As a Program Manager within the Logistics and Fabrication Solutions (LFS) Operating Unit (OU) reporting directly to the OU Director; serving as Chief of Staff, you will ensure all aspects of OU operations are effective and efficient. You will organize and facilitate day-to-day operational aspects of the OU. The Chief of Staff also organizes and oversees execution of staff/leadership meetings, periodic senior leader business reviews (such as monthly reviews, PMRs, etc), Town Halls, leadership forums, site visits, project reviews, customer visits, and international trips. Your role will involve integrating day-to-day operational objectives to meet the OU's financial and non-financial goals and assigned Sector Operating Objectives (SOOs). You will identify focus areas for process improvement/streamlining and development and execution of operational initiatives. Supporting the development and execution of the Annual Operating Plan and Long Range Strategic Plan (AOP/LRSP) will be crucial, including the planning of resources to achieve these plans. You will prepare the OU Director for all senior level internal meetings and customer engagements with relevant information/materials such as talking points and relevant background information. Additionally, you will set business rhythms and coordinate the development, review, and periodic reporting of applicable operating objectives and non-financial metrics. Ensuring deliverables required by sector & division level business rhythms are coordinated among the staff and delivered timely is essential. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the OU team, driving execution of strategic initiatives and tasks initiated by the OU Director by working with cross-functional teams and business leaders across the organization. Acting as a focal point for communication and collaboration among functional leaders and operations will be part of your responsibilities. You will anticipate and proactively manage the materials, data, and presentation needs for upcoming meetings and events, and organize and implement employee engagement activities such as Town Halls, Leader Site Visits, and Leadership Forums. Leading internal special projects as requested by the OU Director, including establishing and leading a cross-functional team, developing and monitoring objectives, briefing senior leaders, and facilitating broader communication across the organization will also be part of your role.
