About the position

The Liaison (Non Nurse) at Garden Terrace Alzheimer's Center of Excellence is responsible for engaging in business development activities aimed at increasing the facility's census and enhancing its visibility as a preferred post-acute care provider. This role involves overseeing two buildings in Houston and requires a strong understanding of healthcare administration and effective communication skills to build relationships with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient pre-admission screenings at acute care hospitals or other referring facilities such as rehabilitation hospitals or physician offices.
• Understand and effectively navigate the managed care process.
• Establish productive working relationships with providers.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in health care administration, communications, marketing, or a related field.
• Prior experience in clinical systems or in a post-acute setting.
• Willing and able to travel.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license in current State with satisfactory driving record per Life Care standards.
• Functional knowledge in the field of practice.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post-acute care facility.
