Towson University is seeking an innovative individual to join the Albert S. Cook Library as a Digital Services Librarian through the Early Career Librarian Fellows program. This fellowship is designed for early-career librarians from underrepresented groups who have recently completed or are about to complete their master's degree in library science (MLS or MLIS). The position is permanent, with a two-year fellowship period dedicated to researching and developing a new program or initiative that will be launched at the conclusion of the fellowship. The library is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and candidates will be expected to demonstrate their involvement in advancing these goals. The fellowship offers opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and the chance to rotate across departments if desired. The Digital Services Librarian will investigate technologies that enhance the research lifecycle for faculty, students, and staff, and will work on a capstone project that aligns with their professional interests and the library's needs. This role also includes participation in library and university committees, as well as professional organizations, with a focus on career planning and development.
