The University of Oklahoma Libraries is seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to fill the role of Coordinator for the Open Access Policy Implementation Project within the Digital Strategies and Innovation Division. This position is temporary and full-time, requiring the selected candidate to work closely with the Associate Dean for Digital Strategies and Innovation. The Coordinator will be responsible for executing outreach deliverables that align with the implementation of the Open Access (OA) policy, which is a critical initiative aimed at enhancing access to scholarly works. The ideal candidate will possess a strong goal-oriented mindset and a commitment to achieving measurable outcomes in their work. In this role, the Coordinator will undertake a variety of responsibilities that include coordinating guest speakers for outreach activities, developing digital learning objects for workshops, and collaborating with the OU Marketing & Communications department to create promotional materials for OA policy initiatives. The position also involves organizing pilot workshops and engaging with librarians to ensure their participation in these events. The Coordinator may also be involved in presenting information about the OA policy to librarians and faculty, as well as assisting in testing and providing feedback on the SHAREOK™ workflow and system integrations that manage faculty work deposits in compliance with the OA policy. Participation in team meetings and collaborative efforts to implement the OA policy on schedule is also a key aspect of this role.
