About the position
The Librarian serves as the director of the library and provides leadership in planning, organizing, and implementing all activities related to library service, including reference work and online searching, circulation, analysis of use, collection development and acquisitions - both print and electronic. Also, assists the Dean of Academics with library management, administration, budget development, networking, interlibrary loan, serials, library statistics, and collaboration with other departments in the seminary.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership in planning, organizing, and implementing library services.
- Conduct reference work and online searching.
- Manage circulation and analyze library use.
- Oversee collection development and acquisitions for both print and electronic materials.
- Assist the Dean of Academics with library management and administration.
- Develop and manage the library budget.
- Facilitate networking and interlibrary loan services.
- Maintain library statistics and collaborate with other departments.
