Responsibilities

  • Perform circulation activities by checking materials in and out, reserving material requests, and registering new patrons.
  • Provide customer service by assisting with computers and equipment, searching databases for information, and recommending reading material.
  • Perform administrative duties including preparing statistical reports, ordering supplies, and distributing library materials.
  • Assist with events by setting up displays and preparing information about authors.
  • Receive and order new library materials using the online computer program, entering and checking received orders.
  • Drive the Bookmobile or other library vehicles, preparing it for service delivery and maintaining cleanliness.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature obtained through six months to one year of advanced study or training beyond high school.
  • One year of experience in library or related customer service work.
