About the position

The Library Communications Specialist serves as the Information Desk for public libraries across North America, handling phone calls and live chat inquiries from patrons. This remote position emphasizes a team-oriented environment focused on exceeding customer expectations while providing a relaxed work atmosphere.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and live chat contacts from library patrons.
  • Handle phone-based patron inquiries efficiently.
  • Provide information and assistance to library users.

Requirements

  • Excellent use of the English language.
  • At least 6 months of phone-based customer service experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent keyboarding and computer skills.
  • At least two years of post-high school education is highly desired.
  • Must have a reliable, high-speed internet connection.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) highly preferred - $1 additional per hour.
