About the position

Virtue Care Inc. is seeking a motivated License Associate Counselor (LAC) / License Professional Counselor (LPC) to provide in-home, Intensive In-Community (IIC) services for youth ages 3-21 and their families in Edison, NJ. The role involves delivering counseling services, monitoring case progress, and collaborating with care managers to ensure effective treatment and support for clients. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work independently in a multi-cultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling to youth ages 3-21 and their families in the home or community.
• Monitor case progress towards goal achievement.
• Collaborate with care managers.
• Practice sound clinical and case management judgement.
• Complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Conduct Biopsychosocial Assessments (BPS).

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience working with youth and families.
• Must hold a valid/current practicing clinical license in NJ.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to provide services in the home or in the community with proper PPE.
• Computer literate.
• Trauma informed.
• Experience working with the DD population/Substance Abuse is a plus but not required.
• TF CBT knowledge is a plus but not required.
• Child Centered Play Therapy is a plus but not required.
• Must be able to work independently in a multi-cultural environment and promote cultural sensitivity and strong leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with developmental disabilities (DD) population.
• Knowledge of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF CBT).
• Experience in Child Centered Play Therapy.
