About the position

The License Compliance Sales Specialist II (LCS2) at Ansys plays a crucial role in driving business opportunities within a designated geographical territory through License Compliance (LC) cases. This position is pivotal in guiding the sales team and channel partners through the license compliance process, ensuring that the company’s intellectual property rights are protected and enforced. The LCS2 is responsible for conducting direct commercial negotiations with high-level executives, including CxOs and VPs, to close deals and secure purchase orders. This role demands a strong background in sales, particularly in negotiation and closing, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse cross-functional team that includes legal, sales, channels, external legal counsels, third-party auditors, and LC service providers. In this position, the LCS2 will focus on recovering revenue lost due to unauthorized license use, which involves negotiating large License Compliance settlements. The LCS2 will engage in license reviews, which are software audits conducted by Ansys Licensing Consultants or external consultancies, and will work closely with senior managers and executives to negotiate favorable commercial resolutions. The role requires a proactive approach to building and managing a cross-functional team, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and working towards a common goal of revenue recovery and compliance. Responsibilities

  • Recover revenue lost to unauthorized license use.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of work experience in a Sales or License Compliance role (software audits) with a multi-national software company.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Fluent in English and the local language of the territory.
