About the position

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a per diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their wound care team. This role involves providing both direct and indirect patient care services in a clinic environment, focusing on wound care. The LPN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and will support both inpatient and outpatient care, contributing to a dedicated team committed to quality and compassion in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care services within the scope of practice.
• Perform technical and manual skills to meet the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of care.
• Meet the communication needs of patients and their families.
• Work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Support both inpatient and outpatient care in a clinic environment.
• Utilize wound care techniques including wound vacs, negative pressure wound therapy, and ostomy care.

Requirements

• Current and valid Missouri state LPN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current certification.
• One year of experience in an Acute Care hospital or clinic setting preferred.
• Previous wound care experience preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with wound vacs, negative pressure wound therapy, and ostomy care.
