About the position

The Licensed A&P Mechanic at Aviation Technical Services is responsible for servicing, repairing, and overhauling aircraft to ensure their airworthiness. This role requires intermediate knowledge of aircraft systems and the ability to work under minimal supervision, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting various aircraft components.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and overhaul aircraft to ensure airworthiness.
• Perform routine aircraft maintenance work in specialized areas.
• Develop repair schemes utilizing SRM or Engineering data.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance personnel and leadership regarding work progress and challenges.
• Complete on-the-job-training forms and required reading.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and specifications for repairs.
• Conduct operational tests on aircraft systems.
• Remove and install flight control surfaces and components.
• Perform weight and balance calculations for flight control surfaces.
• Troubleshoot flight control systems and perform rigging and operational tests.
• Remove and replace landing gear, engines, and air-conditioning systems.
• Troubleshoot landing gear, engines, hydraulic, and air-conditioning systems.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Airframe and/or Power Plant License preferred.
• Two years or more related commercial/military aircraft experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
