About the position

The Licensed Behavior Consultant at Merakey is responsible for designing and directing the implementation of individualized behavior modification intervention plans for children and adolescents. This role involves collaboration with a treatment team to identify behavioral goals and recommend non-aversive behavioral change methods. The consultant primarily focuses on assessment, program design, and monitoring rather than direct therapy, while also participating in team meetings and consultations with other systems such as schools.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized behavior modification intervention plans for children and adolescents.
• Identify behavioral goals and intervention techniques tailored to each child's needs.
• Recommend non-aversive behavioral change methods.
• Serve as a consultant to the Mobile Therapist within the treatment team.
• Participate in team meetings and provide assessment and program monitoring.
• Consult in special child-centered, family-focused meetings when conflicts arise in other systems.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Behavior Specialist in Pennsylvania.
• Certification as a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst).
