About the position

As a Licensed Civil Engineer on the Site Design team at Olsson, you will play a crucial role in delivering multidisciplinary design services for a variety of land development projects. These projects encompass mixed-use, commercial, and residential developments, as well as municipal, industrial, sports, and educational site developments. Your primary responsibilities will include independently performing engineering and project management duties, ensuring that client needs are met from the initial conception of a project through to its completion. This will involve processing design calculations, assisting in the development of project scopes and schedules, and conducting site visits for observation and assessment. You will be expected to collaborate effectively with team members and clients, leveraging your strong communication skills to foster a productive working environment. Your ability to take ownership of your work will be essential as you contribute to projects that aim to positively impact communities. With a focus on sustainability and efficiency, your role will not only involve technical expertise but also a commitment to improving the environments in which we live and work. Responsibilities

  • Independently perform engineering and project management duties on land development projects.
  • Process design calculations for various site development projects.
  • Assist in developing project scopes and schedules to meet client needs.
  • Travel to job sites for observation and assessment of ongoing projects.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • At least 4 years of related civil engineering experience.
  • Proficient in Civil 3D software.
  • Must be a registered professional engineer.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
