About the position

The position involves working cooperatively with Northwest Health Services providers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates to achieve the goals and objectives of NHS in accordance with governing body requirements and established internal policies and procedures. The role requires treating all individuals with respect, including patients, employees, management, customers, vendors, and visitors. Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, and evaluating clinical symptoms, developmental and personality disorders, psychosocial stressors, and substance abuse issues, while addressing the functional impact of medical conditions as necessary. The position also involves developing treatment plans tailored to individual client needs, coordinating with professionals involved in patient care, and providing psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families, and groups. The role requires maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations, participating in quality improvement activities, and ensuring accurate documentation in the EHR.

Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with Northwest Health Services providers, supervisors, peers, and subordinates.
  • Treat others respectfully, including patients and colleagues.
  • Assess, diagnose, and evaluate clinical symptoms and psychosocial stressors.
  • Develop treatment plans based on individual client needs.
  • Coordinate professionals involved in patient care.
  • Maintain knowledge of community resources for client treatment.
  • Provide psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
  • Practice within the scope of licensure and adhere to credentialing policies.
  • Maintain accurate billing and coding practices.
  • Use telehealth equipment for diagnostic evaluations and follow-up services.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain compliance with Human Resources file and training requirements.
  • Communicate and collaborate with referring physicians and staff.
  • Complete accurate documentation in the EHR.
  • Assist in screening and assessment of risk in crisis situations.
  • Develop safety plans and intervene in crisis situations.
  • Offer in-service education programs to medical staff and the community.
  • Represent Northwest Health to the community professionally.
  • Comply with HIPAA provisions.
  • Attend staff meetings as requested.
  • Perform related work as required.

Requirements

  • Must possess a License to practice in the State of Missouri as a Licensed Masters or Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Professional Counselor.
  • Possess a broad background of training and experience with various patient populations.
  • BLS certification.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Drivers License and proof of insurance for personal vehicle used for business.
