About the position
We are seeking an outstanding Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team at Barksdale Air Force Base (AFB) in LA. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional healthcare services to military members, their families, and retired military veterans. As an LCSW, you will be responsible for coordinating referrals, assessing the psychosocial functioning of patients, formulating treatment plans, conducting psychosocial assessments, providing counseling and psychotherapy services, and participating in professional peer review case conferences.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate appropriate referrals to community and other government agencies for services
- Independently assess the psychosocial functioning and needs of patients and their family members and formulate and implement a treatment plan
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide psychosocial treatment to individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Utilize medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities, and treatment procedures
- Implement treatment modalities to achieve treatment goals
- Provide counseling and/or psychotherapy services to individuals, groups, couples, and families
- Provide consultation services to other staff about the psychosocial needs of patients
- Participate in professional peer review case conferences, research studies, or other required organizations
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a School of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working as an LCSW
- Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Must be a US Citizen
