About the position

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at JCMG, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals, families, and communities through various challenges related to mental health, social inequalities, and personal crises. This multifaceted position involves direct client care, systemic advocacy, and a commitment to holistic care, where you will provide therapy and connect clients with essential resources and support systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, and individualized treatment planning for clients.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to diagnose psychological, behavioral, and emotional disorders.
  • Provide individual and family therapy sessions to support clients through life transitions, trauma, and health challenges.
  • Complete required documentation and paperwork including assessments and treatment planning in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Demonstrate cultural competency and provide empathetic, caring, and confidential support to clients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, educators, and other professionals to meet the individual needs of clients.
  • Advocate for clients' rights and develop plans to improve their well-being.
  • Research and refer clients to community resources and social service programs.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, professional development, and continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or related field from an accredited university.
  • Current LCSW or LMFT in good standing in the State of Missouri with a minimum of two years post-licensure experience.
  • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Specialization in areas such as trauma, addiction, or child welfare.
  • Strong knowledge of community resources and social services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly.
  • Comprehensive understanding of clinical social work practices.
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to social work.
  • Strong ethical standards and confidentiality practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
