About the position

The Licensed Electrical Engineer will be responsible for researching, developing, designing, and producing electrical construction drawings for various types of buildings, including healthcare facilities, commercial spaces, and office buildings. This role involves modeling and analyzing power distribution systems, designing life safety systems, and coordinating with other design professionals. The engineer will also mentor designers in building electrical designs, requiring extensive knowledge of electrical equipment and local building codes.

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, design, and produce electrical construction drawings for healthcare, commercial, and office buildings.
  • Model and analyze normal and emergency power distribution systems.
  • Design life safety systems and lighting control systems.
  • Coordinate with other design professionals on projects.
  • Direct and mentor designers in building electrical designs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET Accredited Electrical Engineering program.
  • 5-10 years of experience as a licensed professional engineer (PE).
  • NCEES registration and preferred certifications such as LEED, CEM, or LC.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical equipment and local building codes.
  • Experience with building and power systems' concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD MEP, and MS Office Suite.
