About the position

The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) position at Body Fit Plus involves providing clinical treatment interventions within a correctional facility in Ione, California. This role focuses on conducting assessments, offering counseling services, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients. The position is a full-time contract for six months, with the possibility of extension, and offers a competitive pay rate along with quarterly bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and provide clinical treatment interventions such as brief counseling, group therapy, and individual counseling.
• Consult and collaborate with other disciplines for the care and treatment of patients.
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and coordination.
• Perform assessments to facilitate transitional care planning and link patients with community resources upon release.
• Develop and contribute to treatment and care plans, making recommendations to care teams.
• Document and evaluate patients' progress and facilitate discharges and transfers in coordination with other programs.
• Attend case conferences, trainings, meetings, and committees as directed.

Requirements

• MFT Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) certification.
• Twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years rendering direct patient care in a public or private institution.
• Clinical competencies must be current.
• Valid Photo ID, Driver's License or Passport (Required).
• Valid MFT license issued by the California Board of Behavioral Science (Required).
• Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an American Heart Association.
