About the position
Are you ready to start your Social Work career with New York State? Central New York Psychiatric Center - Albany Pre-Release Services is recruiting for Licensed Master Social Worker to provide professional social work services to individuals with mental illness. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply. As a Licensed Master Social Worker at Central New York Psychiatric Center - Albany Pre-Release Services, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides culturally competent and evidence-based treatment and support services in a recovery-oriented environment to individual with mental illness.
Responsibilities
- Providing crisis intervention, service linkages, and discharge planning
- Developing treatment plans with individuals and treatment team; monitoring and evaluating progress; and modifying treatment plans as needed
- Determining discharge needs and appropriate community resources
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with community providers to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
- Licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Candidates within State Service can be considered transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law
