About the position

The Licensed Mental Health Therapist position at Headlight is a part-time role focused on providing high-quality mental health services through therapy, coaching, and support. The therapist will work with clients to diagnose and treat mental health disorders, create individualized treatment plans, and maintain a flexible schedule that allows for 12 to 24 billable hours. The role emphasizes clinical independence while providing strong administrative support to reduce the burden of paperwork, allowing therapists to focus on patient care.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients
• Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
• Create individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances
• Meet with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress
• Involve and advise family members when appropriate
• Plan outreach and referral activities in surrounding communities

Requirements

• Master's Level Degree or higher in related fields (Required)
• Full, unencumbered license based on office location
• 2+ years' experience with providing diagnostic assessment and therapy services
• Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment
• Ability to work as a team member and cooperatively
• Superb organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and their families

Nice-to-haves

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus, but not required
