About The Position

The Licensed Mental Health Therapist at PermiaCare is responsible for providing counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults suffering from severe mental illnesses. Utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and adhering to state guidelines, the therapist conducts assessments, develops treatment plans, and offers psychological support. The role requires independent work with limited supervision, focusing on both in-person and telehealth services.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a social, behavioral, or human service field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling).
  • Certification as an LPC, LMFT, or LCSW is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with individuals experiencing mental illness.
  • Valid Texas Driver's license and auto liability insurance.
  • Ability to pass criminal history and background checks, as well as a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must obtain state-required CBT certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct psychotherapy treatment to clients with severe mental illness.
