About the position
The Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, collaborating with hospitalists, nurses, and other staff to provide essential patient care. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while adapting to the changing needs of patients.
Responsibilities
- Obtaining and recording vital signs
- Performing EKGs
- Conducting glucometer point of care testing
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, feeding, ambulation)
- Obtaining outside medical records
- Cleaning and stocking rooms with appropriate medical equipment and supplies
- Assisting nurses with patient care
Requirements
- High School graduate
- VT LNA license
- BLS certification
