About the position

The Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Training (AIT) position at Signature HealthCARE is designed for compassionate and driven individuals aspiring to become licensed administrators in the healthcare field. This role offers up to a year of fully paid training, providing hands-on experience across various departments within the organization. The AIT will work closely with a designated preceptor to gain insights into the operational and administrative aspects of nursing home management, ensuring compliance with regulations and enhancing resident care.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside a designated AIT Preceptor in a departmental rotation lasting 9-12 months.
  • Observe and participate in management duties such as talent acquisition, performance management, and budgeting.
  • Develop a working knowledge of governmental regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Provide guidance during federal and state survey processes.
  • Build positive relationships with government regulators, residents, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Utilize survey information to address areas of importance for residents and families.
  • Participate in problem-solving exercises and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with regional and home office support for facility operations.
  • Foster an environment for creative thinking and empowerment within the management team.
  • Meet regularly with the preceptor for supervision and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor's degree required (Business, Healthcare Management, Accounting, etc.); MBA preferred.
  • Sign a two-year service agreement after completing the AIT Training program.
  • Current/active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or obtain within twelve months after start date.
  • Obtain Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license within twelve months after start date.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication abilities.
  • High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to function independently and work effectively with others.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare management or administration.
  • Previous leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
