About the position

The Licensed Pharmacy Technician at Lees Marketplace in Heber, Utah, plays a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations while ensuring patient care remains the top priority. This position involves assisting the pharmacist with various tasks, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and company policies. Responsibilities

  • Develop maximum customer relations through friendly and courteous behavior.
  • Promote a high level of morale within the department and store through honest and open communication.
  • Provide a safe, clean, and positive environment, supporting a culture of relationships and continuous improvement.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, programs, and directives, promoting a harassment-free environment.
  • Strive to build knowledge and skills through training and education for self and team members.
  • Attend departmental, store, and company meetings as required, contributing to profits and meeting productivity standards.
  • Fill prescriptions in compliance with laws and company policies, including retrieving products and affixing labels.
  • Respond to telephone requests from guests, physicians, and vendors, deferring to the pharmacist when necessary.
  • Communicate and cooperate with peers, managers, physicians, and guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Assist with monthly CII audits and maintain state and federal record keeping for controlled substances.
  • Accept written prescriptions or refill information from guests, confirming completeness of patient records.
  • Access the pharmacy computer to obtain complete patient records and verify third-party plan parameters.
  • Order products from preferred wholesale entities and stock pharmacy product orders to specific locations.
  • Help train other pharmacy technicians and abide by state regulations regarding technician training and licensure.
  • Maintain inventory levels to company goals and utilize the RX return process.
  • Execute daily third-party reports and perform cash register duties accurately.
  • Adhere to Lee's MarketPlace dress code standards and assist with inventory reports.
  • Monitor third-party profitability and keep the pharmacy area clean and organized.
  • Attend company meetings for training and communication purposes and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to lift 30+ pounds.
  • High School diploma or GED required; related job experience and/or training are necessary.
  • Must hold a valid Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Utah.
  • Must complete continuing education hours as required by law.
