About the position

The Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant will work in a community-oriented outpatient physical therapy clinic, collaborating with physical therapists to implement treatment plans for patients of various ages and conditions. The role emphasizes patient recovery, mobility improvement, and professional growth within a supportive environment that values innovation and excellence in care.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physical therapists to implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records for effective communication within the healthcare team.
  • Educate patients on home exercise programs and injury prevention strategies.
  • Foster a compassionate and supportive environment to promote patient engagement and compliance with treatment plans.
  • Participate in specialized training opportunities in lymphedema and pelvic health.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Completion of a ten-week clinical practice from an educational program.
  • Eligibility for Oklahoma Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapy Assistant by the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Examiners.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings.
  • Knowledge of specialized treatment techniques for lymphedema and pelvic health.
