About the position

DaVita is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate care to patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease in a hospital setting. This role emphasizes building meaningful relationships with patients and their families while delivering care in a supportive team environment. The position requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver empathetic and compassionate care to patients dealing with chronic kidney disease.
• Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families.
• Support and collaborate with team members in a positive environment.
• Leverage a broad range of nursing skills to create unique treatment plans for patients with multiple co-morbidities.
• Participate in training and potentially float to various facilities during and after training.

Requirements

• Current LPN-LVN license in the state of practice required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• IV certification required if mandated by state regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completed training program approved by the medical director and governing body as required by CMS guidelines prior to operating the water treatment system.
• Minimum of one year's experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook required; functional proficiency in DaVita's computer systems within 90 days of hire.
