About the position

The Licensed Practical Nurse II (LPN II) at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Venice is responsible for implementing nursing care for assigned patients, assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) in various aspects of patient care, and utilizing advanced skills in patient care following appropriate education and training. This role is crucial in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement nursing care for assigned patients.
• Assist the RN in the assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Utilize advanced skills in patient care after education and training.

Requirements

• Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing or meeting educational requirements as outlined by the Florida Board of Nursing.
• Thirty (30) hour IV certification.
• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia test within ninety (90) days of employment.
