Responsibilities
- Ensuring safety of each child on the ward, including monitoring of symptoms and conditions
- Supervision of MHTA staff on the wards
- Attending meetings such as CTP, morning meetings, TPR's, discharge, etc.
- Noting prescriber orders
- Conducting medication pass and health/medication teaching
- Conducting nursing assessments
- Updating patient information such as vital signs, weights, etc.
- Maintaining and updating patient records
- Monitoring inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
Requirements
- Valid LPN or LVN license
- Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of medication administration and health assessments.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- Certification in pediatric nursing
- Bilingual skills.
