About the position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at Prisma Health involves providing nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician. The role focuses on patient monitoring, data collection, and documentation of patient responses, as well as providing instruction to patients and their families. The LPN will also perform additional patient care functions as permitted by their licensure.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Physician.
- Assume responsibility for data collection related to patient status.
- Monitor and document patient responses and ongoing care.
- Provide instruction to patients and their families.
- Perform additional patient care functions as licensed.
Requirements
- Completion of an LPN program recognized by the SC State Board of Nursing.
- One year of experience as an LPN.
- Licensed to practice as an LPN in South Carolina.
Nice-to-haves
- Successful completion of the Prisma Health Nurse Residency Program or a comparable residency program from another organization.
- Enrollment in an accredited LPN to RN transition program.
