Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to children and adolescents in a behavioral health setting.
  • Assist with nursing duties on various inpatient units as needed.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and behaviors.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and coping strategies.
  • Participate in self-scheduling to manage work hours effectively.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
  • Licensed as a LPN in the State of South Dakota or meeting multi-state licensure requirements.
  • Ability to work with children ages 5 to 12 and adolescents ages 13 to 17.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in behavioral health settings.
  • Knowledge of addiction, anxiety disorders, ADHD, and depression treatment.
