About the position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at AdventHealth Medical Group provides essential nursing care to patients under the direction of the Practice Manager/Director. This role involves assisting with patient education, supporting providers during examinations, and managing patient calls, including prescription refills. The LPN is responsible for documenting patient information in the electronic health record and ensuring high-quality customer service in all interactions.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients under the direction of the Practice Manager/Director.
- Assist providers during the treatment and examination of patients.
- Administer procedures and treatments as directed by the provider.
- Handle triage of patient calls, including prescription refills according to protocols.
- Document patient vitals and other pertinent information in the electronic health record (EMR).
- Order and maintain inventory of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
- Give immunizations and ensure appropriate documentation of patient information on intake.
Requirements
- Kansas LPN License
- Associate's Degree or Graduate of a Technical School
- BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
