Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Contribute to patient assessments by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
• Perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
• Administer medication as directed.
• Document patient care provided and communicate patient status to the RN and other healthcare professionals.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Monitor and document patient reactions to interventions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current LPN license in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment are necessary.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a stressful environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a surgical or acute care setting is preferred.
• Additional certifications in nursing specialties may be beneficial.
