About the position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Genesis HealthCare is responsible for delivering efficient and effective nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). This role focuses on providing care to geriatric and long-term care patients, ensuring positive clinical outcomes and high levels of patient and family satisfaction. The position offers opportunities for both full-time and part-time work, with varying shifts available, including day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients/residents to collect data, observe, and report changes in condition.
• Contribute to nursing assessments and care planning.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per physician orders.
• Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff.

Requirements

• Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
• Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure.
• Must maintain current BLS/CPR certification if employed at a skilled nursing center or as required by the state of practice if an assisted living facility.
