This includes screening patients, obtaining vital signs, and instructing patients on the collection of necessary samples. You will also be responsible for notifying patients of test results, scheduling follow-up appointments, and managing patient records. Your ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families will be essential in providing them with the information they need regarding medications and treatment plans. We are seeking a candidate who is not only skilled in clinical practices but also possesses a genuine passion for patient care and a desire to work in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the efficient flow of patients including screening and preparation for exams.
  • Instruct patients on the collection of necessary samples/tests and obtain vital signs.
  • Notify patients of test results and follow-up appointments.
  • Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Manage patient records including chart entries and posting lab/tests and examination results.
  • Schedule tests and treatments, including arranging referrals to specialists and obtaining pre-authorizations.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
  • Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in accordance with state regulations.
