About the position

The Licensed Professional Counselor will provide individual, family, couples, group, and crisis counseling to clients ranging from ages 5 to adult. This role is essential in delivering mental health services and requires a strong foundation in clinical counseling skills and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, couples, and group counseling to clients.
• Conduct crisis counseling as needed.
• Engage in self-regulated practice with a focus on behavioral health.
• Utilize various counseling methodologies and techniques in practice.
• Maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, and the public.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or psychology.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a fully licensed counselor.
• Licensed by the State of Texas at a Masters level (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW).
• In-depth knowledge of DSM-V and different counseling methodologies.
• Strong clinical and assessment skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of trauma-informed treatments and evidence-based models.
• Experience in group counseling.
