About the position

The Remote Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) position at Headway offers licensed mental health clinicians the opportunity to launch or grow their private practice with the support of a comprehensive platform. Headway aims to enhance access and affordability in mental healthcare by providing tools and resources that streamline the practice management process, including insurance credentialing and billing support. This role allows counselors to maintain a flexible schedule, manage their caseload, and provide care either in-person or via telehealth.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychotherapy sessions with patients.
• Provide and oversee medication management.
• Accept insurance by being credentialed with major networks.
• Handle billing and administrative paperwork through Headway.
• Maintain a flexible schedule by deciding the number of clients to see.
• Grow caseload through marketing support and patient referrals.
• Verify client insurance benefits instantly and automatically.

Requirements

• Must be a fully-licensed professional counselor at a Master's level or above.
• Possess a valid NPI number.
• Have malpractice insurance.
