The Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor (LPMHC) position at the Aleda E. Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial assessments of veterans and their families to identify issues and needs.
• Provide brief therapy and crisis intervention within a primary care setting.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with veterans and their families.
• Document clinical interactions and treatment progress in electronic medical records.
• Refer veterans to appropriate VA and community service providers as needed.
• Maintain a network of referral resources and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist veterans in evaluating their situations and considering alternative courses of action.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Master's or doctoral degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited program.
• Full, current, and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• At least one year of post-master's or post-doctoral degree mental health counseling experience.
