About the position

This part-time Licensed Social Worker (Mental Health Clinician) position provides group and individual counseling services to Kintock clients. Responsibilities include intake, assessment, ongoing assessment for program eligibility, monitoring all aspects of care and client services, and ensuring that the needs of clients are met, which may be included at the discretion of the Program Director.

Requirements

  • Licensed NJ Professional Counselor (LPC) or NJ Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAC) or Licensed NJ Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Knowledge of modern principles of criminal justice, community corrections, and therapeutic communities.
  • Understanding of counseling and casework methods appropriate for offender populations.
  • Ability to understand and comply with contract rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to work with offenders to gain their confidence and cooperation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and agency representatives.
