About the position

The position involves performing professional psychological services in assessment, behavior management, and counseling services for students with emotional disabilities, learning disabilities, and/or behavioral problems. The psychologist will assess the psychological and psycho-educational needs of students referred to special education services and provide guidance to the special education counselor while overseeing the behavior programs at each campus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform professional psychological services in assessment, behavior management, and counseling services for students with emotional disabilities, learning disabilities, and/or behavioral problems.
  • Assess the psychological and psycho-educational needs of students referred to special education services.
  • Provide guidance to the special education counselor and oversee the behavior programs at each campus.

Requirements

  • Master's degree (doctorate preferred) in psychology from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Texas license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology granted by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
  • Spanish-speaking, preferred.
  • Two (2) years of successful experience in providing psychological services in an educational setting preferred.
