About the position
The LVN Clinic Coordinator provides a variety of patient care activities. This role is essential in maintaining an appropriate clinic environment for patient care and assisting physicians/providers with examinations, procedures, and patient education. The coordinator is responsible for documenting all aspects of patient care according to departmental standards and performing nursing skills effectively. Additionally, the coordinator interacts with physician practices, pharmacies, and drug representatives while maintaining a professional level of conduct. Supervisory responsibilities include overseeing the Clinic Coordinators and providing them with resources and guidance to ensure a smooth discharge and scheduling process.
Responsibilities
- Provides an appropriate clinic environment for patient care by maintaining the patient area in an orderly manner and maintaining neatness of the work environment.
- Provides assistance to physicians/providers with examinations, procedures, and patient education, as well as performing patient care activities, including coordination of patients' appointments.
- Documents all aspects of patient care according to Departmental Standards.
- Performs nursing skills effectively according to established standards of care, as well as demonstrates interpersonal competencies such as problem solving, negotiation, and conflict management.
- Interacts with physician practices, pharmacies, and drug reps while always maintaining a professional level of conduct.
- Supervises the Clinic Coordinators while providing them with resources and guidance to ensure a smooth discharge and scheduling process.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- 1-3 years of related experience
- LVN license to work in the State of Texas
