About the position
The Escondido Union School District is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position is essential in providing health services to our students and ensuring their well-being. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering first aid, managing health records, and collaborating with school staff to promote a healthy school environment. The role requires a commitment to student achievement and a positive school culture, aligning with our district's goals of safety, diversity, and fiscal solvency.
Responsibilities
- Administer first aid and medication to students as needed.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student health needs.
- Conduct health screenings and assessments.
- Educate students and staff on health-related topics.
Requirements
- Valid LVN or RN license in the State of California.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification or BLS Healthcare Provider card.
- Ability to pass a tuberculosis examination and drug testing.
- Must subscribe to an Oath of Allegiance and show proof of identity and right to work in the U.S.
Nice-to-haves
