About The Position

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) provides nursing services under the supervision and direction of a physician, advanced practice registered nurse, physician assistant, or registered nurse. The role focuses on patient safety and requires functioning within the parameters of the legal scope of practice and in accordance with federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, as well as established standards of the Nurse Practice Act, accepted medical/nursing standards, and policies and procedures of Spindletop Center. The LVN will be responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and focused nursing care to assigned consumers with predictable health care needs.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited course in licensed or practical vocational nursing.
• Valid Texas license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse issued by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners.
• Current State of Texas Driver License or valid license from another state.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screens.
