About the position

As a Licensure Readiness Advisor at Concorde Career Colleges, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of healthcare by mentoring and guiding nursing students. This position focuses on enhancing students' skills in time management, study techniques, and critical thinking, ultimately preparing them for successful careers in nursing. You will also contribute to community development and the overall mission of fostering competent healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Nursing Administration in planning curriculum adjustments based upon industry changes and Nursing Practice Act.
  • Work with faculty in identifying at-risk students and assist in the preparation of Academic Success Plans (ASP).
  • Serve as campus representative on the national curriculum committee.
  • Assist the Director of Nursing Education (DON) and/or Associate Director Nursing (ADON) with processing students to graduate status, including confirmation of petition to graduate process and reviewing student advising and attendance before graduation.
  • Evaluate and track progress to achieving greenlight status and communicate Affidavit of Graduation eligibility to the Director of Nursing.
  • Provide licensure statistics necessary for internal reports, Board of Nursing, and accrediting bodies.
  • Participate in student interviews for entry and re-entry into the program.
  • Assist, plan, and monitor end of course and Exit exams.
  • Coordinate licensure preparation efforts with stakeholders including other LRA's, administrative assistant, Director of Nursing, and Associate Director of Nursing.
  • Complete and track progress of student remediation plans.
  • Review student final comprehensive exams and access to remediation modules.
  • Organize weekly tutorial sessions and follow-up tutorials to assist graduates with remediation plans.
  • Confirm student and graduate completion of remediation and greenlight process.
  • Recommend and proctor additional testing for students and/or graduates based on academic and licensure preparation needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Must meet State Board of Nursing requirements for instructor positions including current unencumbered RN state license.
  • Knowledge of NCLEX® examination blueprint and test-taking strategies.
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and standard office equipment operation, generally acquired through 5 years of related experience.
  • Strong customer service skills and critical thinking ability to assist students with individual needs and concerns.
