About the position

As a Kitchen Leader at Chipotle, you will be responsible for preparing delicious food, overseeing kitchen operations, and training future kitchen leaders. This role emphasizes teamwork and customer experience while ensuring food quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure food quality by cooking and preparing food according to orders and kitchen procedures.
  • Supervise food waste levels and inventory, addressing any food quality issues.
  • Support strong team dynamics among back-of-house and front-of-house team members.
  • Develop team members to become future Kitchen Leaders.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure excellent service and performance.
  • Ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen.
  • Oversee kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure faulty equipment is repaired promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines to prevent injuries and accidents.
  • Complete Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and inventory rotation (FIFO).

Requirements

  • Experience as a team member at Chipotle.
  • Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle's Food With Integrity philosophy.
  • Knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in restaurants.
